Take a More Holistic Approach to Your Health | What is a Holistic Chiropractor?

What is a Chiropractor?

A Chiropractor works with your spine, brain and nervous system.

As Chiropractors’ we’re interested in the bones of your spine (aka the vertebrae)

You brain sends messages down the spinal cord (inside the spine) and that message comes out through the nerves, which go everywhere in your body.

It’s important that your brain can communicate with wherever those nerves are going AND for them to also be able to talk back to your brain.

Sometimes due to the different stressors in life you can have areas of your spine that move out of alignment – we call this a subluxation (less than a dislocation).

When this a subluxation is left as it is for a long period of time, it can start to impact the way your brain is communicating to that nerve (and where the nerve is going).

It’s our job as Chiropractor’s to remove this subluxation and make sure your spine is in the correct alignment so that your brain can talk to your body (and vice versa) 24/7, 7 days a week.

These accumulations (or “straws”) can come in the form of 3 things:

  1. Physical stress – bumps, falls, car accidents, daily poor posture
  2. Mental & Emotional stress – busyness, poor relationships and crazy kids
  3. Chemical stress – that you’re consuming or being exposed to regularly
